Great Moral Stories for Children Parents and Kids Need to Read
Out of all the awesome tales with moral stories in the world, we’ve listed some of the most globally-known and encompassing. Take a look at these amazing moral stories for kids that you should get for your bookshelf. Here they are:
1. “Sarah’s Touch” by Carla Atkinson
Few things are more satisfying than reading a book to someone, and this is what I had in mind when writing this story. “Sarah’s Touch” offers one of the best moral tales for children, and youngsters will really enjoy reading aloud to adults.
This moving tale demonstrates the importance of setting a good example for others. Sarah has experience working with kids who have experienced frequent moves. These kids didn’t respect morals, social skills, or grownups at all.
With this book’s lessons, any child reading it will have an easier time transitioning from being a good kid to a great youngster!
2. The Boy Who Cried Wolf
Once upon a time, a boy got bored while keeping an eye on the neighborhood sheep. He desired things to be more thrilling, so he shouted that he had witnessed a wolf pursuing the sheep.
The entire village raced to chase the wolf away. But they didn’t spot a wolf. The people around him were not amused, but the boy was.
The locals searched for the boy at dusk. Their livestock had not been returned by him. They came upon him sobbing.
He informed them that the flock had vanished and that there was, in fact, a wolf. He was consoled by an elderly man who informed him that no one would believe a liar, even if they were telling the truth.
What’s the moral of the story? Well, it’s simple: lying breaks other people’s stuff. Don’t lie; people will value, trust, and keep you around them because you know the truth of strengthening fragile bonds.
3. King Midas and His Golden Touch
For a Satyr, the Greek king Midas performed a kind gesture. Dionysus, the god of wine, heard this and granted him a desire. Everything that Midas touched was supposed to turn to gold.
Even after Dionysus forbade him from doing so, Midas was unmoved. Midas began to touch everything with great excitement and transform it into gold.
He was hungry very quickly. He could not eat anything, though, as even his meals turned to gold. His dear daughter rushed to hug him as soon as she noticed him in pain.
But then she turned to gold, too. That’s when he realized the golden touch wasn’t a boon.
What’s the moral of the story? Greed can lead to an individual’s hubris. We must always try to mitigate our greed and not let it run loose.
